The perfect chain necklace may seem like a mythological item- the unicorn of jewelry. Something stories and legends are told about but impossible to actually find. It takes some digging but the perfect one is out there. You just have to look at Instagram or Tic Tok to know that chains are HOT right now! All lengths, all metal colors, all link styles layered and stacked.
Some big questions that arise when picking the perfect chain are, what metal type/color? What link style? What length?
We can help!
Metal Type- The most comming types of metal we deal in are White or Yellow gold and sterling silver. Each of these has advantages and pros/cons and we will go in to that together here.
Sterling Silver- Silver is not just a metal- it is an element on the table of elements it is represented with an Ag. It is not as rare as it's cousins, gold and platinum but is still technically considered a precious metal. When used in jewelery it is typically a blend of approx. 92% silver and then alloys, as pure silver is far to soft to be used for anything in its pure form. While very beautiful silver items do have a stronger chance of loosing their original shape because of the softness of the metal. It is great for a fashion peice- big look bright white and bold. It is also very cost effective in comparision to some of the more precious metal options available.

some of our favorite silver options come from John Hardy- they are hand crafted and woven by artisans in Bali. Each peice is unique and full of a rich tradtion and history. The also have a fantastic segment of the brand that incorporates silver weave on one side and yellow gold on the other- making for a truly unique look.
