The benefits of a six month cleaning and inspection

Regular maintenance of your jewelry can help keep it looking beautiful and can also help you spot any potential problems before they become serious.

Cleaning your jewelry is the first step in keeping it looking its best. You can use a soft cloth to gently wipe away any dirt or grime that has accumulated on the surface of the jewelry. If your jewelry is particularly dirty, you can use a mild soap and warm water to give it a more thorough cleaning. Be sure to rinse the jewelry thoroughly and dry it completely before storing it. Bringing your jewels into see us at Saxon's is the best way to make sure your items are in great and stay beautiful. It is also part of the requirement of our guarantee. We reccomend and will send a quick reminder text to bring in your items twice a year. We will clean and inspect it, under magnification and in our professional cleaner and steamer. Finally, it’s important to store your jewelry properly. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You should also store each piece of jewelry separately to prevent it from becoming tangled or scratched. We also woudl reccomend that you don't sleep, shower or swim in your jewelry. Chlorine can be especially harmful for your metals. Shampoos and soaps can create buildup and can also be harmful for different stones. One great way to keep on a schedule is to come near 4th of July and near Christmas. It is also a great time to add anything to your wishlists.
